Health Education

The health condition of Nepal is very poor due to lack of health education. Due to illiteracy and ignorance, people are suffering very various kinds of diseases. People are suffering even from minor diseases and die untimely. Due to population growth, every people is also not able to get basic health facilities and services and suffer from various kinds of diseases. 

Health eduction plays vital role for maintaining good health of people. It will provide various knowledge about health aspects. It will make aware about different activities and events that occur diseases. It will impart knowledge about preventive, curative and rehabilitative methods of diseases.

For making whole country healthy, the health education is very essential. Similarly, people also should be conscious about the balance diet in order to maintain the health. The mentally, physically, emotionally healthy people are the human resource of our country. They can contribute for the development of our nation.

Environment Education

The environment education is also very important for maintaining the environment of our country. Due to lack of environment education, people are not aware about the condition of environment. The environment of our country is destructing day by day. The different house hold waste, sewage, garbage, dirt, human excreta, smokes, harmful gases, unwanted noises are polluting the environment. The harmful gases like carbon dioxide, carbon mono oxide, sulpher dioxide and many other gases that are emitted by factories, industries and vehicles pollutes the atmosphere. It pollutes the air.

The waste materials, sewage, garbage, dirt, human excreta and many other waste materials pollute soil, water and noise. The different natural resources are also getting destructing day by day due to environmental pollutions. Sometime acid rain also may occur that destroy our valuable cultural heritages.

For maintaining balance between population and environment, the environment education is very essential. It provides education about different aspects, impacts, effects, mitigating methods. It makes  people aware about the environmental conservation and promotion.

Population Education

The one of the most prominent education is about the population. Population is growing as sky rocketing that means population is increasing rapidly. Due to population growth, various problems are facing by the people of Nepal. There is the shortage of food, clothes, shelter, drinking water, quality education, health facilities and services, electricity facilities, unemployment and many more. The living standard of people also depend upon the size of population. As the population size increases, the living standard of people decreases whereas decrease in size population increases the living standard. Unmanaged population growth leads to many problems in Nepal. It hampers the economic development, political development, social and cultural development. The economic development will decline due to population growth. There will be the problem of unemployment due to increase in population. The per capita income of Nepal is also very low which results low quality of life. For solving above mentioned problems and controlling the unmanaged population, population education is vital. Population education plays the vital role for controlling and managing the population. Population education should be provided to each and every people. The impacts and effects of growing population should be well known and should make able to solve problems. So population education is very important in Nepalese contest. As a result, Government of Nepal has made compulsory course in school level education. Similarly, population education is also provided in higher level educations for controlling and managing the population growth.

Education System in Nepal

The government of Nepal has mentioned certain criteria in education sectors. Basically two types of teaching methodology is used in schooling. The first/ preliminary classes or grading system is differ from governmental and non-governmental education institutes.The first stage is started with the grading class which includes Nursery, Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kinder Garten. After the successful completion of this classes/ stages, the child or student upgrade to standard one. The teaching methodology widely used in Nepal for grade teaching is Montessori Teaching Methodology. Montessori Teaching Methodology was developed by Montessori and in this method, students are taught by using the method of play way method. In this method, children are taught as well as played in the same place.The successful completion of this method upgrade in standard one. Standard one continued for a year and he has to join two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten each grade will be upgraded after successful completion of a year with good results.The S.L.C. (School Leaving Certificate) level examination will be conducted at the end of grade ten. This level is taken as final stage of school. After successful completion of SLC, students are ready for higher level education i.e. PCL Level (Proficiency Certificate Level) or +2 level.
